  1. The key to combat this is not to think that the streak is a metric of success, but instead focus on quality and frequency of your habit as the metric.

    Thanks, you made me realize that aiming for a streak is the source of my problem with learning new habits. On the other hand, using the frequency as metric isn’t really different, is it?
